The Momentum Athletic Development (MAD) Program provides a structured pathway combining expert coaching, personalised programming and long-term athlete development principles.
What is MAD?

Every athlete follows a personalised development plan based on assessment findings, goals and sporting demands.
Coach-Led Sessions
Athletes train in small coach-led groups while following their own structured program.

We focus on building strength, speed, movement competency and resilience for long-term athletic growth.
The MAD Athlete Journey

Initial Athlete Development Consultation (Free)
The MAD journey begins with a complimentary athlete development consultation with one of our expert coaches.
During this session we gather information about the athlete’s:
goals
chosen sport/s
training age(an athletes age in years with relation to S&C experience)
current competition and/or training workload/ schedule,
injury concerns
To determine the plan for the most effective development pathway for that athlete.

Following the Consultation each athlete completes a Sport Specific Athlete Performance Assessment & Movement Screen.
This allows our coaches to understand how the athlete moves, trains and recovers.

Training & Load Discussion
Recovery & Lifestyle Review
From this we create a Personalised Athlete Development Plan designed to support performance across the entire sporting season.

Personalised Athlete Development
Following the athlete assessment, our coaches design a personalised development plan tailored to the athlete’s sport, training load and stage of development.
All our coaches are qualified strength and conditioning coaches and sports scientists who will tailor the plan for each athlete to build strength, speed, resilience and confidence for their sport.

Athletes train in small coached teams while following their own individualised development plan, designed to support their sport, training demands and stage of development.
This approach combines the benefits of personalised athlete development with the energy of a supportive team training environment. Training alongside other motivated young athletes creates a strong sense of camaraderie, shared experience and accountability, helping athletes stay engaged and motivated.
Our qualified strength and conditioning coaches oversee every session, guiding technique, adjusting training loads and ensuring each athlete progresses safely and effectively.

Athletes develop strength, speed, resilience and confidence as they progress through their personalised training program. Each athlete’s development is guided by their Annual Athlete Development Plan, ensuring training evolves alongside their sport demands and stage of development.
Progress is tracked through the Momentum training app, allowing athletes and coaches to monitor performance, track improvements and stay accountable to their program.
Our coaches regularly review each athlete’s progress, checking in to ensure training loads, technique and development priorities remain aligned with their goals. Programs are updated and progressed over time so athletes continue to build the physical qualities needed to perform confidently in their sport.

Momentum provides a structured environment where developing athletes are coached, guided and supported through every stage of their athletic journey.

MAD Athlete Case Study.
From Injury to Return to Performance.
Following shoulder surgery, this MAD athlete began a structured return-to-performance focused on rebuilding strength, restoring movement competency and developing confidence through movement.
Through ongoing assessment, progressive programming and coach-led support, training was carefully guided to match each stage of recovery - creating a safe and structured pathway back toward athletic performance.
